The local Basel Happiness Event is 3 days of interactive talks, hands-on workshops, arts, movement and music. The focus is to explore and integrate wellbeing and happiness into everyday life through direct experience. The Basel events take place at Hyve. The World Happiness Virtual Agora takes place the same week (18-22 March) and is a 5-day virtual / online event streaming 75+ brilliant futurists sharing insights on happiness in the focus areas of health, education, self-mastery, work and technology. Our "Queen of Green" Carrie Aikman talks about updating our outdated linear 'take, make, dispose' model of consumption. An exciting Swiss initiative that's in the works, "Circular Economy Switzerland" aims to boost the circular economy and act as a platform for coordination and exchange on innovative initiatives. It's happening in 5 Swiss cities, including our beloved Basel! March is the month for fashion! In Paris and Milan, all the big fashion houses show their new collections. With spring coming up, you feel that people in Basel also want to change their clothes. Personal shopper Sophie Adang helps you to get the right style and the perfect clothes that fit your body. Our reporter Ingrid Koning accompanied Sophie Adang from Stylemixers when she gave style advice to a client in Basel. Listen to the report again here.

Our music theme this week: the opening track on debut albums, Part 3 (Part 1 was here; Part 2 was here.) All bands great and small had to start somewhere, and the first song on their first album sets out the stall and says: this is who we are! We played:

Frank Turner - The Real Damage

Blur - She's So High

Snow Patrol - Downhill from Here

Coldplay - Don't Panic

The Beatles - I Saw Her Standing There

Sting - If You Love Somebody Set Them Free
