Hoi Du! Festival, Basel Events, and 1970s Songs
The HOI DU! Festival, organised by Little Rebel Records, takes place from April 18 - 20, 2025, in Lützelflüh's Kulturmühle. It showcases a range of Swiss alternative music across genres like garage, electronica, and rock, featuring bands such as The Monofones, Tim & Puma Mimi, and Hathors. Tickets are available through Eventfrog, with single-day passes at CHF 30 and a full festival pass for CHF 85. A great festival to get to know and support the Swiss music scene!
Meanwhile in Basel, check out the Easter Chess Festival from April 18 to 21; a Centrepoint Apéro on Thursday, April 17; Felix Mendelssohn’s Oratorium Paulus Op. 36 at the Stadtcasino on Good Friday; and for children, «Little Red Riding Hood» at the Theater Arlecchino on Saturday (19 April) and Monday (21 April).
Tango dancers will love the five-day «OsterTango» from April 17 to 21 in Kleinbasel, with plenty of tango parties, concerts, dance performances, workshops, and classes for various dance styles and levels of skill.
And the Battle of the Cows in the Valais is still ongoing, with the Visp-Brig union qualifying fight happening on Monday, 21 April.
