Broadcast on:
1 November, 2016

We had Semi-Circle president Sue Newstead and director Stephanie Feddern in the studio to tell us about the theatre group's latest production: two one-act plays to give you the full range from tragedy to comedy, and everything in between, with Edward Albee's "The Zoo Story" and James Saunders' "Alas, poor Fred". Performance dates of the plays are 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26 November at the Theater Arlecchino. Listen to the interview again here.

Simone Littlejohn, founder of ASA - A Step Ahead joined us tonight. ASA is about to celebrate its first anniversary delivering English language education in the largest favela (slum) in Rio De Janeiro. 50 kids have already benefitted from the skills they've learned over the course of the last year. In recognition of this milestone, and to raise funds for continuing its work, ASA is hosting a fund raising event this Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the FreiesGymnasium Basel at 19:00. The fun-filled evening will feature an Apero with live Brazilian piano music, a capoeira performance, and a raffle. Donations are also possible via ASA's website if you're not able to attend. Listen to the interview again here.

In the continuing Radio X Infofenster series, we look at life in Switzerland and, more specifically, in Basel. This week's segment: Information Centres in Basel!
