Did you know that Switzerland has around 65'000 kilometres of hiking trails? That's about 1.5 times the circumference of the earth! A huge number of municipalities and volunteer organisations maintain the hiking trails and offer hikes in all the cantons.
Simone Littlejohn - ASA Fundraiser - November 2016
Simone Littlejohn, founder of ASA - A Step Ahead joined us in the studio. ASA is about to celebrate its first anniversary delivering English language education in the largest favela (slum) in Rio De Janeiro. 50 kids have already benefitted from the skills they've learned over the course of the last year. In recognition of this milestone, and to raise funds for continuing its work, ASA is hosting a fund raising event on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the FreiesGymnasium Basel at 19:00. The fun-filled evening will feature an Apero with live Brazilian piano music, a capoeira performance, and a raffle. Donations are also possible via ASA's website if you're not able to attend.
