Dawn Nilo and Aga Yano

Broadcast on:
28 April, 2015

Aga Yano joined us in the studio to describe her endeavors in Basel. Originally from Poland, Aga came to Basel to pursue her musical interests as a professional Latin Percussionist.  Most recently, her musical talents are on display as part of the orchestra in the musical 'Disney's The Lion King' in Basel.  In addition, Aga is a professional massage therapist specializing in Sport, Classical and Ayurvedic massage and Reflexology.  Having originally focused on an in-home, mobile massage service, her success has led her to the grand opening of her Basel studio in early May.  We have a special give-away this week courtesy of Aga's massage therapy - A ninety minute massage which we will raffle next week!  In addition to her website (links above) you can find her on Facebook at www.facebook.com/yano.massage. Thanks Aga and good luck!!!

Dawn Nilo was interviewed by the English Show's Arts Correspondent Kevin Richmond.  A self proclaimed 'Fool', Dawn participates in, and organized the Kingdom of Fools exhibit at IWB's Filter 4 performance space in Bruderholz.  The Kingdom of Fools is a performance art exhibit, social sculpture and a festival celebrating the hope of the fool wtih art on the walls, on pedestals, in words and in you.

The Kingdom of Fools lies east of the sun and west of the moon, outside time and space, where it is inside what is to be human - beyond the four directions, not spinning in time but becoming the axis that spins.

In cooperation with the Institut Kunst, artistic director Dawn Nilo and 28 local and international artists invite you to discover and inspire beauty at the Filter 4.
