The Gay Beggars Drama Group at the University of Basel are staging a new production!
"Vinegar Tom" by Caryl Churchill (1976) is a play that examines the oppression of women through the lens of 17th century witchcraft trials. A play about witches with no witches in it, "Vinegar Tom" focuses on themes of power and gender relationships, and critiques society both past and present for the injustices wrought upon women.
When: April 26, 27, 29, 30 and May 4, 5, 7, 10, 11
Shows start at 8 pm, except for Sunday May 5th, which starts at 6 pm.
