Tanzfest
Starting this thursday the 4th May is the annual Tanzfest in Basel. Theaters, cultural Centrers and public spaces come together to host the dance festival and whether it's folk, hop hop or contemporary dance, everyone can choose from a wide range of programs and discover the work of artists or even take a step onto the dance floor. The program starts with a Tanzeparade which starts in Marktplatz at 4.30pm where the street becomes the dance floor. The parade will move from Marktplatz through Freistrasse up to Gerbergasse and into Barfusserplatz, and ends around 6.30pm back at Marktplatz. But thats not all, until Sunday 7th May the tanzfest will be all over Basel with flashmobs, workshops and more which the whole family is invited to join in on. Tickets for workshops and inside events are 15chf for a Tanzpass which gets you into most events over the 4 days.Tickets can be purchased on site at one of the many venues such Theatre Basel, Warteck on Burgweg or Kult Kino. Kids up to 16 are free for the whole event.
