Swiss Skate Tour

The Swiss Skate Tour is an inline skating tour through Switzerland and they will be making their way through Basel this Sunday 7th May from 10am. The Basel route for skaters starts in Marktplatz and runs from there through Friestrasse, to the Rhine, over the Schwarzwald Bridge, to the Tinguely museum and past the Roche tower to meet back at marktplatz. The tour is suitable for anyone who is a competent skater, and there is even a smaller route for kids who will skate with the Swiss Skate mascot. Registrations cost from 10 chf for kids up to 80 chf for the longest distances. This event is actually running along side another active event this weekend - the women's race through Basel, from Marktplatz through the city and back again. Woman can still register for the run - either 5km or 10 km, run for fun or for the first place - every woman and young girl can join in.
