Basel Firsts defeated RC Bern 59-7
Basel struck first when Samuel Rapp scored a try seven minutes into the match.
Teammate Jan Hossli increased the lead with a try at the 24 minute mark. Dominic Baumann successfully made a 2 point conversion which gave Basel a 12-0 lead.
Lorenzo Ceccarelli scored a try five minutes later. Shortly thereafter Baumann registered his second conversion of the game and gave Basel a 19-0 lead.
Ludovic Fournage joined in on the fun with a try at the 37 minute mark and brought the score to 24-0 in favor of Basel.
Patric Senn gave Basel another try a few minutes later. Baumann kicked another two point conversion and gave his team a 31-0 lead.
Rapp scored his second try of the match for Basel shortly thereafter.
The scoring barrage continued throughout the match, with Basel scoring 59 unanswered points and Bern struggling to find their way.
Bern avoided the shutout by scoring a try and a conversion seconds before the time expired.
The match ended with Rapp scoring three tries and Baumann nailing seven conversions.
