RC Winterthur defeated the Basel Firsts.

The Firsts had trouble establishing their rhythm and allowed the opposing team to dictate the pace for most of the match.

Winterthur scored a try after 10 minutes of action.  The team successfully achieved a conversion and took a seven point lead.

Basel allowed another try five minutes later but prevented a 2 point conversion. 

Winterthur continued scoring and gave themselves 26 unanswered points after 30 minutes.

Basel’s Samuel Rapp scored a try for his team and teammate James Begg followed up with a conversion at the 39 minute mark.

Winterthur responded with a try and took a 33-7 lead.

Rapp and Begg added a try plus a conversion for Basel to decrease the deficit.

Maximillian Lauer gave Basel some more points by scoring a try at the 55 minute mark.

Winterthur scored some more points before time expired and won the match 43-26.
