HC Düdingen Bulls defeated EHC Basel
Düdigen struck first in the opening period when Matthieu Dousse scored a goal nine minutes into the match.
Basel responded a minute later when Alessio Guantario scored after assists from Marco Vogt and Cyrill Vogelin.
Basel was later called for a penalty when they had too many players on the ice. This resulted in Düdingen receiving a power play.
Philippe Fontana took advantage and put Düdingen in the lead with the power play goal at the 18 minute mark.
Basel’s Sandro Brügger tied the match with a shorthanded goal five minutes into the second period.
Düdingen responded in a big way. Kevin Fleuty put the team back in the lead with a goal five minutes later.
Teammate Michel Zwahlen increased the lead with a goal two minutes later. Düdingen added their fifth goal when Jan Krebs scored only 13 seconds later.
Basel’s Michael Maurer gave his team their third goal in the final period.
Düdingen won the match with a score of 5-3.
