EHC Basel defeated EHC Bülach in overtime.
Bülach struck first when Basel was called for a penalty early in the first period. Lukas Walder scored the first goal on the power play.
EHC Basel tied the match after Sandro Brügger scored a goal two minutes into the second period. His goal came after assists from Nicolai Gusset and Timothé Tuffet.
Basel received a bit of revenge in the third period due to Bülach getting called for a penalty. EHC Basel was then awarded a power play. Leandro Gfeller wasted little time and put Basel ahead with a goal after assists from Marco Vogt and Brügger.
EHC Bülach’s Nico Andersen tied the match four minutes later.
Both teams battled each other until the time expired. The game went into overtime with the score tied at 2 goals apiece.
Timothé Tuffet scored the winning goal two minutes into overtime.
EHC Basel is currently in 10th place in their division.
