Basel Starwings part ways with coach and player

The Starwings and utility player Auston Calhoun ended their contractual agreement. Calhoun requested the cancellation after the team lost their ninth game of the season against Fribourg with a score of 101-61.

However, the team’s current performance was not a factor, as Calhoun had recently returned to the United States.

The Starwings also severed ties with their longtime coach, Roland Pavloski. The management stated that it was a very difficult decision, especially since Pavloski was the team’s founding member.

U23 coach Pascal Donati has been named the interim coach for the Starwings.

The Starwings remain winless with a record of 0 wins and 9 losses.
