Luzern defeated the Basel Starwings.

Luzern took control in the first quarter by outscoring the Starwings by seven points.

Led by Justin Mitchell,the Starwings battled back in a big way by doubling Luzern’s output in the second quarter.  Basel led the match by one point at halftime.

Basel continued to make things difficult for Luzern with strong defense. It looked like the team would leave with a victory after the third quarter ended.

However, the team started to unravel in the fourth quarter.  The Starwings struggled with ball control and free throws.  Luzern took advantage of Basel’s problems, regained the lead and stayed ahead for the rest of the match.

Luzern won the game with a score of 70-65.

The Starwings remain winless in the new season with a 0-5 record.
