BC Lugano defeated the Basel Starwings
Lugano wasted little time in establishing their dominance in the season opener. The Starwings were limited to 31 points while allowing their opponents 51 points in the first half.
The Starwings struggled in the second half but found their rhythm late in the fourth quarter by outscoring Lugano by two points.
Lugano won the match with a score of 95-73.
The Starwings will face the Riviera Lakers this Sunday at Birsfelden.
