Vevey Defeated the Basel Starwings.
Two hundred fans packed the Birsfelden Sport Hall for an exciting basketball match.
Vevey started strong in the first quarter but the Starwings kept themselves in the game and trailed by only six points.
Vevey opened things up in the following quarter and led the match by 24 points at halftime.
The Starwings battled back in the third quarter by outscoring their opponents by 7 points, however they still faced a 17 point deficit heading into the final quarter.
Led by top scorer AJ Hess, the Starwings chipped away and found themselves behind by only four points with only a minute left to play.
However, Vevey’s Steeve and Axel Louissaint silenced the crowd with crucial baskets before the time expired. Vevey won the match with a score of 83-77.
