Basel Starwings defeat Winterthur 100-78.
The Starwings made their presence felt by storming over their opponents in the first quarter. The barrage, led by top scorer AJ Hess, continued into the second quarter which left the Starwings with a 51-35 lead.
Winterthur did not have an answer in the second half and allowed the Starwings to continually dictate the tempo of the match. Winterthur committed 13 fouls while their opponents registered only 8.
Basel won the match 100-78.
Unfortunately it was not great news all around, as Brunelle Tutonda had to leave the game due to a lingering foot injury.
This victory has moved the Starwings up to ninth place in the NLA Division.
