Therwil Flyers sweep Zurich Challengers

Takanobu Oshima opened things up for Therwil by scoring Hideori Oshima with a single in the first inning.

Zurich tied the game by scoring a run in the bottom of the first. The team scored another run in the next inning.

The Flyers’ Adrian Kaufmann scored on an error by Zurich.  Rafael Eigenmann scored shortly thereafter and Therwil was ahead with a score of 3-2.

Zurich scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth innnig and led the game 6-3.

Therwil responded in the seventh inning.

Takanobu Oshima nailed a two run double to center field.  Oshima was able to steal third base after a wild pitch.  

David Castillo walked, then made it to second base after another wild pitch.

Stefan Koller drove in Oshima with a single to left field. Castillo scored shortly thereafter thanks to a sacrifice fly to left field.

Lukas Croton drove in Koller with a single.  Kaufmann hit a double to left field which drove in Croton and gave Therwil a 9-6 lead.

Zurich was unable to score any more runs and the Flyers won the first game, 9-6.

 

The second game was a little more one sided.

The Flyers loaded the bases in the second inning. Hideori Oshima walked which enabled Edwin Miguel Hernandez to score.  Teammate Noah Zenn scored on a walk, which gave the Flyers an early 2-0 lead.

The third inning featured Hernandez driving in Casillo with a single to center field. Later in the inning, Hernandez scored on an error.  The Flyers led the game with a score of 4-0.

Takanobu Oshima singled to left field, which allowed Hideori Oshima to score in the fourth inning. 

Hernandez scored on a single by Hideori Oshima in the following inning. Noah soon scored on another error by the Zurich Challengers and gave the Flyers a commanding 7-0 lead in the fifth inning.

Zurich avoided the shutout in the bottom of the inning when scored after Tobias Siegrist drove home  Patrick Zöllig with a single to right field.

Takanobu Oshima scored in the top of the sixth inning when Hernandez hit a single to left center field.

Zurich scored their last run in the bottom of the ninth inning thanks to a throwing  error by Castillo.

Therwil won the second game 8-2.

The Flyers are currently sitting atop the NLA Division with a 4-0 record.
