Musical Lovers Switzerland; Fast Forward Film Festival

If you're a fan of musicals, then the Musical Lovers group is for you! Musical Lovers is a collection of artists and fans from the musical theatre community who promote and raise the profile of musical theatre in Switzerland. The group started in 2023 with four events in Zurich, and it went so well that they are embarking on a new season, with one event in Basel at the Atlantis on November 25th.

In the first half of the event, professionals from the musical theatre world sing; and in the second half, there is an «Open Mic» where anyone can put their name in a hat. Musical Lovers then randomly draws about nine people, and they sing their song of choice (with piano). The atmosphere is always wildly supportive and fun and it’s a great way of getting to know fellow artists and repertoire. We spoke to Aleksandra Cegielska from Eleven Ten Studio. Eleven Ten Studio is an artist-run gallery situated in a 125-year-old building on Feldbergstrasse 86. This creative space opened its doors in June 2022, offering a unique platform for emerging artists to launch their careers and for established artists to elevate their practice to new heights.

The studio is hosting the «Fast Forward Film Festival», an event celebrating cutting-edge experimental cinema, digital art, and multimedia works from international artists. The festival will take place at the Eleven Ten Studio from 5th to 21st December 2024. Listen to the interview here.
