Melinda and Robert Schoutens - reVyven; Kate Michaels - One Roche Choir Concert

Melinda and Robert Schoutens joined us to talk about reVyven, an environmental and educational forum that invites start-ups, innovators, organisations, experts, journalists, artists and everyday people to share their ideas and work on the environment, sustainability, innovation and expertise with the greater community. By sharing ideas, asking questions and getting involved, together everyone can take action toward positive change. Kate Michaels is an American singer and actress specialising in big band, swing and musical theater. Michaels, who was raised in California, has lived in Singapore, Austria and Germany; she currently lives in Basel. Michaels performs as a soloist and with the shows Swinging the Marilyn Monroe Songbook, Big Band Sizzle, Gossip, Glitter & Glam as well as musicals and concerts with The Red Thread and various big bands in France, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Spain, Norway, England and New Zealand.

Kate Michaels is now directing the One Roche Choir, which is open to the Basel community. Roche has a Music Association on campus for its employees as well as interested local musicians, and they are currently home to a big band, an orchestra, many smaller bands as well as a choir. The orchestra has invited the One Roche Choir to be part of a classics French and Italian programme at the Theodorskirche (Theodorskirchplatz 5, 4058 Basel) on Friday, 20 October 2023 at 18:30.
