mein Baum dein Baum; Gadget Guru - Electric Cars and Reinventing the Wheel
Emma Thomas and Amanda Frantzen of mein Baum dein Baum (mBdB), a Basel Stadt based Verein, joined us in the studio this evening to tell us about their new project. mBdB seeks to plant more trees along public streets in Basel in private front gardens "the Vorgarten". For free! MBDB believes that planting trees in these small interstitial zones between privately owned buildings and the street will make a great impact on greening the city. mBdB's professional team helps you identify the space, the appropriate future tree (trees that can withstand a warming climate) and provides all the resources to get your new tree off to a healthy, and hopefully, long life. You can read more about their endeavors in a profile by the bz Basel, and follow their activities via images and links on Instagram. Listen to the interview here.
This time on the Gadget Guru, Ian talks about the "elephant in the room" with electric cars. Are the governments coming for the cash in your pocket? For the iconoclasts amongst us, Ian has the answer for you if you want to reinvent the wheel. Check out The Q on YouTube. Listen to the segment here.
