Music and culture galore

Today's show was all about cultural events and music. Don't miss the BScene music festival on the 21st and 22nd of April, which provides a colourful snapshot of the regional music scene.

Wine aficionados should head to the Basler Wymärt (Basel wine market) at the Markthalle from the 13th to 15th of April. The Children's Holiday City is a free children’s paradise provided during the school holidays by Robi-Spiel-Aktionen; this week, from the 11th to 15th of April, it's taking place at the Oekolampad-Matte. Head over to Lucerne to see legendary singer-songwriter Van Morrison at the KKL Luzern on April 12th and 13th.

Celebrate Radio X's 25th anniversary on April 22nd, with Anna Aaron, Birdmask and Glitchbaby performing. Check out the "Eierleset", an egg race that is traditionally held on the Sunday after Easter (this year on April 16th) in some of the communities around Basel and which dates back to the 16th century. Head to the Atlantis Basel on April 15th for Deep Purple tribute band Shades of Purple and Status Quo tribute band Piledriver.
