Drumming at Fasnacht; Gadget Guru - Germophobe Gadgets

Basel Fasnacht is a carnival that lasts for three days and nights, starting at 4 a.m. on a Monday morning and wrapping up at 4 a.m. on Thursday morning. It's 72 hours of throwing a city into colourful chaos - and it's 72 hours of drumming. Fasnacht would be happening right now, from 22 to 24 February 2021, but it had to be cancelled for the second year in a row due to Covid. To give you a flavour of Fasnacht and an idea of what drumming at Fasnacht is like, Anna Wirz talked to drummers from Basel and from the UK to gather a kaleidoscope of impressions of what it’s like to be a part of this three-day carnival.
