Anne Murray joined us in the studio to talk about
Capacity, a Zürich-based organization that is celebrating 5 years of helping refugees and migrants with startup skills. On November 28th at 17:00, the organization will be hosting (virtually via Zoom)
"Pitching A Dream", a live event where founders will pitch their new business concepts. This special occasion, streamed live for the very first time, opens the possibility to host a large audience. Capacity cultivates a new path for migrants and refugees to create their own opportunities. Only 30-40% of refugees find work once they are accepted to reside in Switzerland. When family reunion migrants (especially women) are included, the process can take as long as 5 years. Work is a central part of our identity and it is also the gateway to building a strong social support network. Capacity's entrepreneurship program serves as a viable first step toward both financial independence and a sense of belonging.
In his last segment for this year, the Gadget Guru has something that will keep your transactions safe while shopping or gaming online. Also, with so many people working from home, you need something comfortable to sit in that will look after your back. Listen to the segment here.
