Dr. James Gillies @ BSCC - CERN & The Higgs Boson

Dr. James Gillies, Senior Communications Advisor at CERN, the Europan Organization for Nuclear Research joined us via telephone to tell us about an upcoming talk titled "CERN and the Higgs Boson".  Originally scheduled to be a presentation last spring hosted by the British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce (BSCC) at a Basel based school for secondary and gymnasium level students, the event has been recast to comply with Covid19 social distancing rules.  Dr. Gillies will be hosting and presenting via Zoom.  Registration and links to join the webinar can be found on the BSCC website.  Join this fascinating event to learn not only about the activities of the CERN related to science, but also about the political mission of the institution to help unify Europe.  Listen to the interview HERE.
