Let's Meet Now! App, Desi Dhamaal Diwali & Festival Of Colors Event
Peter Watkin and Benjamin Freisberg have just launched the Let's Meet Now! app, available in both app stores. The app makes it possible for people to meet new people right now by joining or creating daily events. There is also a "Who's free now?" button to make it quick and easy for people who find themselves on their own to meet other people spontaneously, thus ensuring that noone is left alone if they don't want to be, or with nothing to do in the evening or during lunch times. The app is free to test for two months as a venue, and 30 days as a user. Join Peter and Benjamin for their first official event on the 24th September at the Hotel Euler. Be early and grab one of 30 free drinks! Listen to the interview with Peter and Benjamin here.
Neenu Kaul and Chetna Jain joined us at The English Show to talk about Desi Dhamaal's upcoming charity event: Band Baaja Baaraat, an Indian Wedding-themed dinner theater extravaganza. Attendees will get to experience a five-day Indian wedding condensed into an hour of dance, live music, traditional dresses and finery, followed by dinner and dancing. The event is a fundraiser for Sheroes, an organisation that operates cafes and outreach centers for acid attack survivors in India. Desi Dhamaal has been operating in Basel for the last 6 years and is actively seeking volunteers to join its organisation or those looking to volunteer to help with this event only. Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 16 - the event takes place at Union Hall, Klybeckstrasse. Entry is CHF 40.- for adults and 20.- for children 12 and under. Contact Desi Dhamaal via their FB group for tickets. Listen to the interview here.
