Carlyle Christopherson, Tick Tacks Episode 5 - First Days

Broadcast on:
5 March, 2019

Australian born and passionate lover of acoustic rock, Carlyle Christopherson discovered his voice relatively later in life after deciding it was time to turn many years of a deep love for music and inspiration into some original compositions. Today Carlyle lives in Switzerland with his wife and daughter and is currently working on his debut album titled "Here Comes History" with Australian producer Greg Arnold (Things of Stone and Wood). A short memoir of tales, fables and his journey through what he considers an extremely fortunate life against some unconventional odds. If you would like to hear Carlyle perform live, he can found each month at Basel's Zum Kuss where he performs from 11 am to 1:30 pm. Listen to the interview and live performance of his single "Follow Me" here.

As if starting in a new school weren't tough enough, Tick Tacks (Third Culture Kids) often find themselves doing it in the middle of the school year and in a new country. In this episode we hear from a few kids about what their first days in a new school were like. Plus, our hosts Sam Oliphant and Gwil Rowlands share some tips on how to make friends when you've just arrived someplace new. Produced and edited by Dan Saks. Listen to the episode again here.
