Jack Dancing, Creperie Kohlenberg, Gadget Guru - Christmas Gadgets

Broadcast on:
27 November, 2018

One of Basel's hidden musical gems, Jack Dancing joined us on the show tonight. Formed in 2012, the band's message is simple, yet powerful: relax and have fun. Guitarist / vocalist Ryan Locker and guitarist Cedric Oppliger spoke about the band's history and gave us a little insight on what can happen during recordings. They also gave us a little taste of what you will experience in their upcoming show by performing two of their tracks live in the studio. Jack Dancing will rock Basel's Atlantis on January 19, 2019 - don't miss out! You can contact and follow Jack Dancing through their website as well as numerous social media outlets. Listen to the interview and live music again here.

Our intrepid reporter Mary Collins went to the warm, friendly and centrally located crêperie that makes her favorite crêpes and coffee. The theme is quirky vintage, with dainty teacups and delicious cookies, as well as a variety of choices both savory and sweet. The Crêperie Kohlenberg is a family business. The owners are mother and daughter Yvette and Cosima Walde and they have been running the crêperie successfully for 6 years. Now they are looking for a suitable successor to take over the business at Kohlenberg 8. However, they don’t want to sell it to a wealthy person or to a big enterprise. They would rather leave it to an ambitious person who has always dreamed of running their own business. That’s why they decided to organise a competition. For only € 8.50 or CHF 9.50 everyone can participate and have the chance to win a fully equipped crêperie! In the meantime, head on over to the crêperie and enjoy one of their savory or sweet treats and hot chocolate, coffee, soda pop, juices and much more! Listen to the interview again here.

In the latest issue of the Gadget Guru, it’s time to discuss Christmas! If you want a few ideas for some Christmas gadgets, Ian is here to help. Don’t worry about the kids. Get your own gadget gift right and the rest will follow! For more details, listen to the segment again here.
