Synodos - Progressive Rock Band, Matt Gilsenan - Cultural Differences

Broadcast on:
16 October, 2018

Progressive rock band Synodos's music explores themes and moods, stirring feelings and a shared experience for their audience. Keyboard player Chris Morton told us about the band's plans for a worldwide livestream broadcasting of a concert to be held in London during the first two weeks of December. Synodos are now distributing their music on Blockchain platform Starflow where the artists keep the majority of their revenue. The band's new music is released on this platform via a digital rather than a physical release. Their music is also available via their website which links to YouTube.

Culture! What is it and why does it matter? English Show alumnus Matt Gilsenan (2004-2011) joined us for the first in a series looking at how cultural differences can affect our experience in a new country, and how to gain a positive perspective on it. Matt has offered intercultural training and coaching to the pharma industry for over 10 years. Today was the introduction to a regular segment on cultural differences; if you have questions on Swiss culture in particular or communicating across cultures in general, please send them to info@theenglishshow.com, and we may address them in an upcoming segment.
