Netherlands Dance Theatre, Gadget Guru - Microsoft XAC

Broadcast on:
22 May, 2018

Since its founding in 1959, the Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) has been a phenomenon, not only in terms of dance quality, but also as a source of innovative choreography. NDT II, a second company for young dancers aged 17 to 22, was founded in 1978, and became almost as successful as NDT I. What started out as a bold idea then set the standard for many other dance companies. At NDT II, young dancers have the unique opportunity to work regularly with the elite of the dance guild early in their career. At dance festival "Steps" in Basel, NDT presented its junior company with a programme that highlighted the company's strengths: high-quality choreography, brilliant dance technique, a rapid pace, great elegance - and often a pinch of humor. Our reporter Ingrid Koning talked to artistic director Nancy Euverink about the company, touring Europe, and audience reactions. Listen to the interview again here.

This week, Ian the Gadget Guru took a look at the new Microsoft Xbox Adapative Controller. This innovative games controller brings gaming to many of those with mobility issues. Listen to the segment again here.
