GGG Language Lessons, Rob Stuart

Broadcast on:
4 July, 2017

Our first guest today was GGG's Baseldeutsch teacher Lotty Hermann.  Joel has been taking Baseldeutsch lessons for some time now and he's hoping Lotty and his experience will inspire you to also learn the local dialect.  The GGG Sprachschule has 18 languages they teach, including Basel and Hoch Deutsch.  There's a convenient time for every schedule and the classes are a great way to meet others commited to assimilating into the local culture or staying longer in the Basel region.  Here's your first free lesson: 'Schnupperlektionen' which means a free trial class that you can take at the GGG with any of their language classes.

Our cinema expert Rob Stuart talked about the summer offerings on screens right now: The Beguiled, directed by Sofia Coppola and starring Colin Farell, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning and documentary Whitney: Can I Be Me at the Kultkino. Summer blockbusters include Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazars Revenge, with Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and Captain Salazar (Javier Badem) as well as Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine and Robin Wright.
