Gadget Guru Ian Ellery, TechLabs for Kids

Broadcast on:
27 June, 2017

The Gadget Guru Ian Ellery joined us today to tell us about a device straight out of "The Jetsons"...The folks at the University of Madrid have developed a robot that will do the ironing.  Although not commercially available at the moment, it does give one hope to dream that the much loathed activity will become a memory.  Ian also mentioned the latest commercially available products from the company that brought you the little spherical robot Sphero.

English Show Correspondents Jake and Joel also discussed another project they've been busy with:  TechLabs.  This Basel enterprise, provides programming, technology and robotics classes for kids ages 8-16.  A variety of courses are available for beginners to advanced kid-hackers and of course with support in English, German and French.  Summer day camp classes are still available and registration for after school programs in the fall will be published soon.
