Also joining us were the three finalists (Simon Vander Plaetse, Hana Cizej, Paul Schmidt) of ISB's 5th Annual Music Competition along with William Norris, the ISB Music Director and Richard Westphalen, violinist with the Sinfonieorchester Basel. Our esteemed young musician friends brought along samples of their musicianship, which you can hear sprinkled throughout their interview. Richard mentors and coaches the musicians when he's not playing violin with the Sinfonieorchester. You can hear him play during the regularly scheduled performances of the symphony orchestra.
