Women's Leadership Project, Health Matters - Knee Injuries Part 1, Fasnacht Special

Broadcast on:
9 February, 2016

The Business & Professional Women's network (BPW) is one of the largest global professional women's network and has been advocating for global gender equity on pay, position and policy since 1930.  The Women's Leadership Project is the Basel chapter of the global BPW Switzerland network.  Our guests Sabine Schmelzer and Dr. Marne Platt work specifically to advance the organization's goals by focusing on individual women's careers and also focusing on the global backgrounds of many of Basel's professional women.  On February 24, The Women's Leadership Project will be hosting a special event for the Global Equal Pay day, demarking the date on the calendar when Swiss Professional women achieve pay equity with their male professional counterparts.  The event will be held at the Teufelhof at 19:00 and will feature Veronique Goy Veenhuys, a BPW member and, founder and CEO of Equal Salary, a Swiss foundation that certifies corporate efforts at pay equity, and Thomas Illy, CEO of Lyreco, a Swiss company certified by Equal Salary.

With the winter sports season in full swing, Health Matters expert Dr. Michelle Wright from our correspondents at the BlueBox team brings us the first of two segments about knee injuries on the slopes. Would you know what to do if you are up the mountain and you suspect that someone you are with has a serious knee injury? Listen to the segment again here.
