Katrin Gygax, Frank Igboerisim, Health Matters - Nosebleeds
Last June, The English Show had a booth at the Basel Expat Expo, where we had the good fortune to meet our first guest tonight. Katrin Gygax, author of "Today's Office Looks Like This", joined us to talk about her book which describes unconventional workspaces throughout Switzerland, including Basel. The book is chock-a-block with reference information about how to get out of your house, office or home-office and enjoy the best that Switzerland has to offer while still managing to stay on top of your work.
Frank Igboerisim was our second guest. Nigerian born, now living in Switzerland, Frank shared with us his experience developing his music production business Ferism Records. Frank represents the artist Kris, from whose album Sweet Race we played the track Hypnotise.
Andrew Shields of the band Human Shields was our guest Culture Calendar correspondent. He read a poetry sample from his upcoming reading at Tag Der Poesie in Basel on September 12. Click here for more information and details about the event.
Health Matters expert Dr. Michelle Wright from our correspondents at the BlueBox team explains all about nosebleeds in children: what causes them, the First Aid measures and what to do about recurrent nosebleeds. Dr. Wright will be running a "First Aid for Child Injuries Course" at Gymboree in Basel on Saturday 19th September 2015 from 09:30-13:00. The course is packed with practical advice, hands on training and usually generates lively discussions. Listen to Dr. Wright's segment again here.
