Human Shields, Hightide Kayak School

Andrew Shields of Human Shields was in the studio this week to talk about the band's new album "Somebody's Hometown" as well as Andrew's recently published poetry collection "Thomas Hardy Listens To Louis Armstrong". Andrew shared two poems from his new book, "Expat" and "Busker" which you can hear live by attending readings on the 12th (at Tag Der Poesie) and 18th of September at Uninacht. The Human Shields will be having an Album Launch on the 22nd of August at MIZ in Basel.

 

 

 

Dave Storey from Hightide Kayak School also joined us in the studio today. Hightide has been providing instruction, coaching and custom kayaking experiences throughout Switzerland since 2013. They cater to individuals, teams, organizations and families, helping you enjoy the best of Swiss waterways via kayak while having fun and learning valuable skills.
