Rev. Hilary Jones, Alan Twitchell

Broadcast on:
21 July, 2015

Rev. Hilary Jones is the Chaplain at the Anglican Church Basel. The English Show's David Roockley talked to Hilary about becoming the new Chaplain in Basel and about formerly being the Chaplain of four parishes in Folkstone, England. Hilary told us about events in the future such as the Food and Fashion Days coming in September, as well as the famous Anglican Church Bazaar. She also discussed what she does on a day-to-day basis, and if you wish to get married, baptised etc., she would be delighted to help perform the service. If you're interested in the Anglican Church, there are two services on a Sunday - one at 10.30 a.m. and one at 6 p.m.

Alan Twitchell is an artist, writer, performer and theater assistant. He dropped into the studio, having just returned from Manchester en route to Berlin, and spoke to our Arts Correspondent Kevin Richmond about what he has been doing since leaving the Roxy Theater Birsfelden. He told us about his live performances and interests in and around Basel, including the Bblackboxx space. He's also helping out at the Clair-Obscur Filmfestival, which will be coming to Basel in November. Listen to the interview again here.
