Dancers For The World, Rob Stuart, Health Matters - Echo 112 App

Broadcast on:
5 May, 2015

Our Arts Correspondent Kevin Richmond talked to Catherine Habasque about Dancers For The World, a new organisation that helps people in areas of conflict through the means of dance. Catherine Habasque used to be a solo dancer at the Theater Basel; through the organisation, she is now launching her first project to bring dance to a town in Georgia. Three dancers of different generations will be heading there in autumn for almost three weeks. Dancers For The World are also starting a partnership with the Elisabethenkirche to host workshops and performances. International Dance Day on April 29th was part of this - a day on which members of the public were able to try out new dances such as hip hop, Indian, ballet and more. Listen to the interview again here.

Rob Stuart came in to give us the low-down on the newest film releases. May is chock-a-block with big theatrical releases and Basel is screening all of them. Read Rob's post to get the details.
