Bruce French, designer for the Rolling Stones shows and the BRIT Awards, among many other things, has been designing Richard Wherlock's productions for the past nine years. Our Arts Correspondent Kevin Richmond managed to catch him just prior to the premiere of Juditha for the Basel Ballet this Friday, 13th March (photo on left). Kevin Richmond also gave us the low-down on performances coming up in Basel in the next few weeks: from the Lion King at the Musical Theatre to dance at the Kaserne to The Glue at Theater Basel and work by three young choreographers at the Basel Ballet. For more details, listen to Kevin again here.

Our music theme this week was Neue Deutsche Welle (New German Wave) from the early 1980s, inspired by German singer-songwriter Nena's concert in Basel later this week on the 13th of March. We played:

D.A.F. - Als wärs das letzte Mal

Peter Schilling - Major Tom

Suzy Andrews - Scandal

Nena - Just A Dream

Geier Sturzflug - Bruttosozialprodukt

Erste Allgemeine Verunsicherung - Ba Ba Banküberfall

Nena (ft. Kim Wilde) - Anyplace Anywhere Anytime
