Lisa Chuma, Drumming at Fasnacht, Best Sights To See - Tinguely Fountain

Broadcast on:
17 February, 2015

Lisa Chuma is a 30-year-old innovative, open-minded, inspiring and heart-centred entrepreneur who moved to Switzerland 3 years ago as a trailing spouse without a job. This Zimbabwean-born and -raised entrepreneur has quickly become a role model to many due to her courage and risk-taking attitude. This has led to her being one of the most sought-after women in Switzerland at the moment.

Lisa Chuma is inspiring female business owners to gain more visibility for their businesses and collaborate with each other through the Swiss Women's Expo, which she founded. In three short years, the Expo has grown to over 130 exhibitors and draws thousands of visitors. Go visit the Expo in Zurich on March 29th! You can listen to the interview with Lisa Chuma again here.

Basel Fasnacht is a carnival that lasts for three days and nights, starting at 4 a.m. on a Monday morning and wrapping up at 4 a.m. on Thursday morning. It's 72 hours of throwing a city into colourful chaos - and it's 72 hours of drumming. With Fasnacht only 6 days away, Anna talked to drummers from Basel and the UK to gather a kaleidoscope of impressions of what it's like to be a part of this three-day festival. Listen to the drummers again here.

Our Basel tour guide Madeleine Wamister talked to us about some of the best sights to see in Basel: the Tinguely fountain and the Tinguely Museum. The fountain, located next to the Theater Basel, is a lively and artistic expression of movement, while the museum houses Tinguely's best works - and both are in a setting that is ideal for the whole family.
