Danz Bollywood, Professional Women's Group, Mission Litauen, Sue Style

We had the pleasure of interviewing various businesses at the Expat Expo. Shalini Trefzer from Danz Bollywood held a live performance and talked about Danz Bollywood's commitment to positive energy through dance. The Professional Women's Group Basel has been around for 24 years and they focus on integration and helping people continue their careers in Basel. Mission Litauen is a charity for impoverished Lithuanian residents. They collected and delivered 3.5 tons of food last year and they hope to repeat or exceed that number this year.

It's always a delight to have Sue Style on the show - and today she told us all about cherries. Baselland is famous for its many and varied cherries, with about 20 varieties in our region alone. One of the nicest ones is the Schauenburger cherry. You can turn this and other cherry varieties into a cherry tart or into a clafoutis, a gorgeous baked cherry pancake. Try Sue's recipe!

As an homage to Black Sabbath, who performed in Zurich last week, our music theme this week was classic rock. We played Sabbath, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Free, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Who and Deep Purple (who are coming to Basel on July 11th, by the way).
