Sue Style, Food & Wine Expert, Maureen Reinertsen of BaselConnect
A regular highlight for us all on The English Show is the visit every month of the aptly-named Sue Style. Sue is our Queen of the Kitchen [and the wine cellar]. Most times she lifts the lid on whatever seasonal food is available. This week was no exception, as she reminded us that now's the season for game (Wild) and wild mushrooms (Pilze). However, instead of the usual focus on eating in, this month Sue talked about a special place to eat out: Restaurant Stucki in Basel whose chef (or chefin, to keep it correct), Tanja Grandits, has just been named chef of the year by the Gault Millau restaurant guide for Switzerland. Why not find out more and listen to the show? It's as easy as clicking a button.
This week we also had the pleasure of welcoming Maureen Reinertsen of BaselConnect, a very important local organisation focused on fostering social, professional, and cultural interaction between expats, locals and the organisations servicing and serviced by both. BaselConnect is sponsoring an event this upcoming November 7th for networking between local expats and employers. The event promises to be very exciting and productive for participants, and the English Show's very own Andrew Craven will be moderating during the panel portion of the event. Go to BaselConnect's website to learn more about their mission, organisation and upcoming events.
