Lemurs On The Lam; Art Basel Concludes

News For 20 June 2023

Last Friday, a female black and white ruffed lemur escaped from the Basel Zoo, leaving zookeepers perplexed as to its means of escape.  Management at the zoo sprang into action notifying police, and posting messages on its Facebook page asking for help to locate the animal.  Although lemurs pose no danger to humans, zookeepers were concerned for the animal's safety.  Fortunately, by Sunday, the animal was recovered safely.
