The Baselland K9 dog search team managed to conclude the dog was at the garden's gate when he was snatched and likely was put in a car. The Swiss government has enacted the 2021 referendum granting higher deductions for childcare starting the 1st of January 2023. Those with children 14 or under, will be able to deduct up to 25,000 in childcare expenses instead of the current 10,100 Swiss francs from their income. The change is meant to reduce the expenses of moderate-income, dual-parent working families which would make working non-viable economically for one of the parents.
