Wohnen+ Basel - January 2019

The founders of Wohnen+ Basel came in to tell us about their organisation, which is looking to introduce new housing in the city of Basel with a focus on 50+ and the international community. Many people moved to Basel for work or to study, stayed and built a life here, and are now transitioning toward retirement. Aging brings challenges, some unique to this multi-cultural community. While there are many interesting options for older adults in Basel, none fit to Wohnen+'s vision of a multi-cultural, community-oriented housing complex. Nancy Gelman, Ingrid Sanford, Claude Sanford and Andrew Craven are the founders of the project. Wohnen+ Basel believes that our lives are enhanced by places that bring people together.
