Semi-Circle - Dracula - May 2016

We had Semi-Circle's director Luca Manganelli and producer Sue Newstead in the studio to talk about Dracula, their latest production. Semi-Circle is a non-profit English language theatre group based in Basel. Their Dracula adaptation is an action-packed, blood-soaked retelling of Bram Stoker's classic tale of horror. In this version there is nothing romantic about Dracula; he is a vicious and unscrupulous monster who thrives on the blood of his victims and on their suffering. This is a confrontation between Good and Evil that will be as wild and bloody as in the best horror tradition. Performances are on 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25 June 2016 at the Theater Rampe.
