Semi-Circle - And Then There Were None - June 2024
The Semi-Circle's new production is «And Then There Were None» by Agatha Christie. Considered one of the best mystery novels ever written, this is the story of ten strangers, each lured to a remote island by a mysterious host under various pretences. Once the guests arrive, the host accuses each person of murder and one by one they begin to die.
The Semi-Circle was founded in 1975 and is the longest-running English-language amateur theatre group in the region. Producer Mike Bray and publicity manager Ginger Zagato joined us to talk about the theatre group and the production.
For «And Then There Were None», there are six performances spread over two weekends in June – opening night is on 13 June 2024 and there are shows on the 14, 15, 27, 28 and 29 June 2024. The show is at the Borromäum Kleinkunst Theatre Rampe in Byfangweg 6 in Basel. The shows start at 7:30 pm, but the doors open at 6:30 so you can enjoy a pre-show drink at the bar. You can buy tickets on the Semi-Circle's website or at the box office on the night – provided that they haven't sold out!
Later in 2024, the Semi-Circle will host several workshops – one on becoming a lighting expert and running the lighting board for a production, another on connecting with your character when performing. Get in touch with the group if you'd like to attend the workshops!
