Migranten Helfen Migranten - Robin Hall - June 2016

Robin Hall, volunteer from Migranten Helfen Migranten (MHM), was in the studio telling us about the organization and its activities. MHM was founded in 2015 as a Baselstadt-based verein (member-operated club) whose mission it is to assist new migrant arrivals to the community with the help of other migrants who have settled here for the long term. MHM has already assisted with the basic resources that over 100 migrants needed upon arrival: language classes, professional education, Swiss Cultural Life workshops, health care access, etc. The organization hosts fund-raising events like the kids/adults Football tournament in June 2016, which is open to the public, and a great way to learn about MHM, its volunteers and the migrants it is currently working with.
