Family & Kids - Museum and Zoo Pass

Laure Audidière is a new contributor to The English Show, giving you practical tips and tricks on what to do in Basel as a family. Today it's all about the museum and zoo passes in Basel. With the museum pass, you can go to almost all Basel and nearby French and German museums for free and invite the kids along. Museums are great places to go to: in winter, they are warm and cosy; in summer, they are cool and quiet. The staff is usually very kids-friendly, the places are always accessible for wheelchairs and prams, and their toilets and changing tables are immaculate. A museum pass for one person (+ 5 children under the age of 18) is CHF 143.-  or EUR 112 per year.

Basel's Zoo always has something going on. It's cosy indoors in winter (check out the aquarium or the monkeys inside or have a bite in their cafeteria) and lovely outdoors in spring and summer. You can also bring your own picnic or exhaust your kid at the playground. A family season ticket for the zoo is CHF 160.-. If you'd rather not spend money, you can go to Tierpark Lange Erlen for free. Find out more details in the segment below.
