Did you know that Switzerland has around 65'000 kilometres of hiking trails? That's about 1.5 times the circumference of the earth! A huge number of municipalities and volunteer organisations maintain the hiking trails and offer hikes in all the cantons.
Dig It! - Chantilly Plant Fair - May 2016
The famous Journées de Plantes Courson, hosted by the chateau of the same name for over 30 years, moved to Chantilly in 2015, to another ravishing chateau and park. Hester Macdonald explored what this wonderful plant fair had to offer recently and enjoyed some sound advice on growing auriculas in pots from Jodie Mitchell of Barnhaven Primroses. Barnhaven have an even longer pedigree than Courson, celebrating their 60th anniversary this year, and have a wonderful selection of their own primrose and auricula hybrids as well as lots of other varieties.
